Cover types and what to pick

Fibreglass kneeboards crack and delaminate when they’re knocked — and most of the knocks happen off the water. The cover lives in the car, the garage and the boat, where the board doesn’t have a glassy surface to land on. Deluxe covers. The KD Mayhem (mens) and Miss Mayhem (womens) covers, Masterline Deluxe in mens and ladies cuts, and Straight Line Deluxe — all padded full covers cut specifically for kneeboards. Each is sized to take most modern fibreglass kneeboards with a bit of room to spare. They share a similar build: padded body, zip closure, carry handle, sometimes a shoulder strap. Sizing. Kneeboard covers are generically sized for the common modern board outline, so most modern boards fit. If your board is unusually wide or has a square tip and tail, check the cover’s listed dimensions against your board before ordering, or bring it into the Brisbane store and we’ll match it. What about plastic kneeboards? Most plastic boards (roto-moulded polyethylene) are robust enough that a cover is less critical — the material handles knocks well on its own. Fibreglass boards are where the cover earns its money.
