Kids wakeboard packages — board and boot setups sized for younger riders, beginner through advanced. From Ronix, Hyperlite, Liquid Force, Connelly and KD. Junior boards with sizing that fits, on packages built to grow with the kid.
Every product in this collection is a complete package — board plus boots, matched in size, ready to ride. Different to scaled-down adult gear: junior-specific board shapes are more forgiving, easier to edge, and the boots are built to adjust through multiple sizes so a package lasts a season or two of growth. Why junior-specific gear matters. Smaller riders need shorter boards (proportional to body weight, not just age) and softer flex (so the board reacts at the lower speeds and lighter loads kids generate). A small adult board is too stiff and too long for most kids — they’ll struggle to edge, struggle to stay up, and end up frustrated. The junior-specific shapes here solve all three. Beginner packages. Soft flex boards with continuous rocker, forgiving open-toe boots that adjust through multiple sizes. KD Sphere with Unix, Connelly Surge with Optima, Ronix Krush Junior (with August or Luxe), Ronix Junior Vault (with Vision or Divide), Ronix Vision Boys with Vision, and Ronix Junior August with August cover this end. Pick by board length matched to weight — sizing charts on each product page. Intermediate packages. Stiffer boards with more pop, more responsive boots. Hyperlite Eden Junior with Jinx (125cm), Hyperlite Murray Jr Boys with Remix, Ronix Junior District (with Vision or Vision Pro), and Hyperlite Junior Union with Remix cover this end. For kids who’ve nailed riding and want to start jumping the wake. Advanced kids packages. Performance boards with stiffer flex and aggressive rocker, paired with response-grade boots. Ronix RX1 Boys (with Divide or Vision Pro) and Ronix RX1 Girls (with Luxe or Vision Pro) are the picks here — for kids working tricks who’ve outgrown the beginner range. Boys vs girls cuts. Ronix Vision Boys, RX1 Boys, RX1 Girls and the various Krush variants are gender-specific cuts. The board shapes are similar but boots are cut differently for foot geometry. Pick based on what fits, not just what’s marked. Boat vs cable. The Hyperlite Junior Union is cable-specific; the rest are boat. Same rule applies as adult gear — don’t take a boat board to a cable park, impact damage isn’t covered under warranty. Sizing. Board sized by weight, not age — most product pages specify a board length (in cm) and matching weight bracket. Boot is straight kids shoe size. If between sizes on the board chart, go shorter for control rather than longer. Demo before you buy. Selected packages here are part of the Try Before You Buy program — worth doing if you’re not sure which size suits your kid before committing.
By weight, not age. Most kids wakeboard product pages specify a board length in cm with a matching weight bracket. Match your kid’s weight to the chart — not their age, height or shoe size. A small heavy kid needs a different board than a tall light kid even if they’re the same age. If they’re between sizes on the chart, go shorter for control rather than longer.
Junior boards have softer flex (so they react at the lower speeds and lighter loads kids generate), shorter base lengths (proportional to body weight), and tighter stance widths (matched to smaller bodies). A small adult board is too stiff and too long for most kids — they’ll struggle to edge and stay up. The junior-specific shapes solve that.
Most kids boots adjust through 2 to 3 shoe sizes, which usually covers a couple of years of foot growth. The board generally lasts 2 to 3 seasons before they need the next size up — weight changes faster than skill on the board, so the size jump is usually driven by them growing into a bigger board rather than wearing this one out. Buy to fit now rather than oversizing in the hope it’ll last — a too-big board is no fun to ride.
Yes — selected kids packages are part of the Try Before You Buy program. Hire over a weekend (Friday to Monday) — hire fees vary by product. If you buy within 4 weeks of the hire period, the hire fee comes off the sale price. Worth doing if you’re not sure whether your kid is ready for a particular board size or skill level.
