Rope rating — non-negotiable safety. A 2-person tube needs a rope rated for AT LEAST 2 people. Never use a 1-person rope on a 2-person tube — multi-person tubes generate forces a 1-person rope can’t handle, and rope failure under load is genuinely dangerous. If in doubt, oversize. A 4-person rope on a 2-person tube is fine (heavier, may drag). Standard length 60 feet / 18.25 metres. Inflation rules. Fully-covered tube: inflate until cover is pulled taut. Partially-covered: bladder wrinkle-free. After use, ALWAYS partially deflate — sun and heat expansion can rupture a tube left fully inflated in the sun. Just enough air to hold shape while drying. Tow speed. Generally slower than single-rider tows to maintain control with two riders’ combined weight. Match speed to the lightest rider’s comfort. Mixed ages.
