WHO WE ARE

Waterskiers World has been Australia's dedicated towed-watersports specialist since 1979. Forty-seven years on, we're the largest pure-play towed-watersports retailer in the country — 500sqm of Brisbane showroom in Moorooka carrying the biggest range of waterskis, wakeboards, wakesurfers, kneeboards, foils, life vests, tow tubes, ropes and barefoot gear you'll find anywhere in Australia. Every product on our shelves has been tested on the water by our team. We ride every weekend. If we sell it, we've used it.

If you love a sport, you want the best equipment. This is the philosophy that led Ross Angel to start his small shop dedicated to high-end waterski equipment over 20 years ago.

Since then we have kept that spirit alive, growing to a larger store in Brisbane and expanding our range of premium watersports products. Today we stock the highest quality waterskis, wakeboards, wakesurfers, tubes, kneeboards, life vests, wetsuits, jetski gear, barefoot gear and anything else you need for an awesome day out on the boat or at the cable park.

We are sunrise starts for that glassy water and pulling the boat in after dark for the same reason. We are charging the wake for the hundredth time to nail that new trick and lapping the cable park ‘til your hands are raw. We are elbow to the water turns on open water and digging deep to get round that sixth buoy on the slalom course. We share your passion and that means we’ll always give you the best advice when it comes to having fun on the water.

OUR STORY

The shop opened in 1979 and has been a family business ever since — run today by Ross, Garreth and Melissa Angel. Ross, a State and National champion in barefooting and three-event skiing, learned to ski on the causeway in Yeppoon as a kid and built Waterskiers World on a simple idea: the best water sports retailer is one that's still on the water every weekend. Forty-seven years later, that's still how we do it.
