Jet ski apparel — rideshorts, rashys, tour coats, hoodie towels, hats and the gear bags that go with them. The full kit for life around the jet ski, from launch to lake to drive home. From Jetpilot, Follow and Jet Tech.
Everything you wear or carry for the jet ski life that isn’t a wetsuit or life vest. Six categories cover the bulk of what’s in here. Rideshorts. Boardie-style outer with a neoprene underpant for warmth and impact protection during falls. The Jetpilot Vault Mens (Blue, Yellow, Charcoal), RX Mens (Black, Orange), Corp Womens Elastic Waist, E-Waist, Rideshort Neo and Rideshort Lycra cover the range. The right call for most warm-water sessions — the neoprene under-layer stops chafing and adds a bit of warmth without going full wetsuit. Rashys and gaiters. Sun and wind protection layer, not for warmth. The Venture Gaiter Pullover (Grey, Black) covers the neck and lower face from spray and sun. The Corp Womens Hooded Rashie, Rash Shirt & Short Set, Venture Hooded Rashie, UV Long Sleeved Jersey (Black, Sage, Grey) and Venture Fishing Polo cover everything from minimal-coverage rashys to long-sleeve sun shirts. Tour coats and spray jackets. The outer windproof shell for cold or wet days. The Jet Tech Arctic Spray Jacket, Jet Tech Hydro Spray and Follow Layer 3.11 Outer Spray Twelker are the picks here — lighter than a full neoprene tour coat, designed to keep spray and wind off without overheating. Wake-cross apparel. The Follow Tech Pant, Tech Shorts and Water Boardies are Follow’s wake apparel range that doubles into jet ski use — quick-drying technical fabrics in casual cuts. Cross-over gear that works equally well on the boat or on the ski. Hoodie towels. The change-of-clothes towel for after the session. The Venture Unisex (Black, Grey) and Youth (Tie Dye, Teal) hoodie towels are a faster, more dignified way to change out of wet gear at a public ramp than fumbling with a regular towel. Bags and storage. The Venture Soft Esky (Blue, Red, Charcoal) keeps the day’s drinks cold. The Venture 50L Waterproof Bag and 70L Oversize Tote (Blue, Charcoal) carry the bulky gear. The Essentials Tote and Bar Bag handle the small stuff. The Seat Cover Towel sits over the ski seat between sessions. Brands. Jetpilot dominates across every category with the Vault, RX, Venture and Corp lines. Follow brings the Tech range that crosses into wake apparel use. Jet Tech covers the value-end spray jackets and a hybrid sunglass-goggle. Care. Rinse the salt off after every session, dry out of direct sun, follow the wash instructions on the label — most pieces are hand-wash or gentle-cycle only.
Boardie-style outer shorts with a neoprene underpant. The neoprene layer stops chafing during long sessions on the bars, adds a bit of warmth without going full wetsuit, and gives some impact protection during falls. The right call for most warm-water jet ski sessions — more comfortable than plain boardies and faster-drying than a wetsuit short.
Yes — anything you don’t want soaked goes in a dry bag. Keys, phone, wallet, dry change of clothes, the day’s lunch. The jet ski takes spray constantly and a swamping or fall puts everything onboard underwater. What survives the day is what was in the dry bag. The Venture 5L through 70L range covers everything from phone-only to the full kit.
Not strictly needed, but most riders who try one don’t go back. Pull it over your head, change out of wet gear underneath without flashing the carpark, dry off and walk to the car. Much faster and more dignified than fumbling with a regular towel at a public ramp. Particularly useful for kids who can change themselves once they’re inside the hoodie.
Different jobs. A rashy is a thin synthetic top, usually long-sleeved, for sun and wind protection — it doesn’t add meaningful warmth in cold water. A wetsuit is thicker neoprene that traps a layer of water against your skin for immersion warmth. For warm-water riding, a rashy plus rideshorts is the typical setup. For cold-water riding, you want the wetsuit and probably a tour coat over the top.
