High poles, ski pylons and tow points

Where the rope leaves the boat changes everything about the ride. A low tow point drags the rope through the wake, which makes wakeboarding harder, fouls the line on turns, and pulls beginner skiers down on the start. Lifting the rope clears it from the wake, smooths the pull and gives the rider a much easier time of it. High poles. An X-Pole is a tall pole that slides over your existing centre ski pylon — instant extra height without modifying the boat. The 2-piece stainless steel version comes apart for storage; the 1-piece aluminium is lighter and quicker to fit. Use one when you want a higher tow point for wakeboarding but don’t need a full tower. Ski pylons. A solid pylon mounted into the boat floor is the traditional tow point for skiing and wakeboarding. The Fly High Pro Ski Tow Pylon is the fixed version; the Pro Adjustable Pylon is the option for boats without a built-in pylon — it can be mounted to suit outboard setups, where you don’t have an existing centre point to work with. The X-Pole vs the pylon. The X-Pole adds height to an existing pylon; the Pro Ski Pylon is the pylon itself, mounted into the boat. If you already have a pylon and just want it taller, the X-Pole is the answer. If you don’t have one at all, you need the Pro Adjustable Pylon. Tow-point hardware. A rope guide keeps the line tracking cleanly off the pylon during turns rather than wrapping around the base, which extends rope life and keeps the pull consistent.
