Pro slalom skis — bare ski blanks for tournament skiers fitting their own custom boot systems. Radar, HO, Connelly and KD. Advanced and tournament 3-Event only.
Why a blank, not a package. At tournament level, slalom skiers don’t take a manufacturer-paired boot setup off the shelf. They run a specific boot with a specific lacing system at a specific angle, set up to their feet and their riding style. The ski is the platform; the binding is personal. A blank gives you the ski without any boots — fit your existing setup, or build a new custom one. Skill level — Advanced and tournament only. This collection is filtered to Advanced and 3-Event tournament-grade skis. Not for beginners or intermediate riders. If you’re skiing the course, running short line, or competing, this is your collection. If you’re learning or progressing, look at the package collections (Radar, HO, Connelly slalom skis) which come with matched boots and a rear toe plate. Brand spread. Radar — the deepest blank range. Vapor and Senate construction tiers covering Pro Build, Graphite, Lithium and Heritage builds. Lyric for womens-specific tournament cuts. HO — Syndicate Works 01 and 02 blanks (3-Event tournament builds), Carbon Sabre for performance-tier advanced. Connelly — C1 and Bio V advanced blanks. KD — Titanium CV and Platinum 3-Event tournament builds. Construction tiers. Within the advanced range, each brand offers multiple construction levels — Pro Build, Graphite, Lithium, Titanium and Heritage variants among others. The difference is in the layup (carbon laminate weight, core construction, edge work) — sharper response and lighter weight as you go up the tier, at a price. All ride the same target boat speeds (32-36 mph). Pre Order. Some current-season blanks are flagged Pre Order — manufacturer stock is staged through the season, especially the higher-tier builds. Pre Order locks your size at current price; we ship as the shipment lands. EX Demo blanks. Multiple ex-demo blanks currently in stock — former demo fleet skis in good condition, marked down. Same warranty rules apply for damage, but the discount is real. Sizes are fixed (single-size listings) since they’re individual ex-demo units. Sizing. By rider weight and boat speed — manufacturer chart on each product page. Tournament skiers usually have a known size; if this is your first blank purchase, call us to confirm against your current ski’s dimensions. Boots and RTP — sold separately. Browse the Radar Slalom Ski Boots, HO Slalom Ski Boots, Reflex Slalom Ski Bindings and Womens Slalom Ski Boots collections to build your setup. Call us if you want help matching a boot system to your blank. Fin and foil. Blanks arrive with factory fin and foil settings. Most tournament skiers will tune from there, but factory is always the reference point. Don’t go below 6° foil — risk of tail blowout.
Buy a blank if you’re a tournament or advanced recreational skier with a specific boot setup you want to fit — a particular front boot, a particular rear (RTP or hard boot), at a particular stance angle. Buy a package if you’re recreational, intermediate or progressing — the manufacturer-paired boot system is dialled in for the ski tier, the rear toe plate releases cleanly on falls, and you don’t need to know fin theory to ride well. Most skiers should buy a package; blanks are for skiers who already know what boots they want.
All advanced construction levels of the same shape family, each with different layups. Lithium is the entry tier into the high-end — still tournament-grade, still 3-Event capable, lighter on the wallet. Graphite steps up with more carbon laminate for sharper response and a stiffer feel. Pro Build is the top tier with the most refined layup, sharpest edges and most aggressive response. The shape is the same across the family, so a Pro Build and a Lithium of the same model ride the same lines — the Pro Build just responds faster and demands cleaner technique. Heritage variants are limited-run construction tweaks within the Pro Build tier.
Yes, if the size and shape suit you. Ex-demo blanks are former demo fleet skis in good condition, marked down from new pricing. Construction is identical to current production — they’re just no longer fresh out of the box. Same warranty rules apply for damage. The catch is sizes are fixed (single-size listings, since each is an individual unit), so you’re shopping what’s actually on the floor rather than ordering a size. Worth checking back if the size you want isn’t currently listed — demo fleet rotates through the season.
This collection is filtered to Advanced and 3-Event tournament skis only — no kids or beginner blanks. If you’re after a kids slalom ski, look at the Radar, HO and Connelly slalom ski collections — their kids skis are sold as packages with matched boots. Beginners should also buy packages, not blanks — fitting your own bindings is a tournament-level decision, and the package boot tier is calibrated for the ski tier. Call us if you want to talk through whether a blank or a package is the right call.
