Why Ronix boots. Ronix has built a strong reputation for refined boot construction across the wake category. The range covers the full spread — from soft-flex beginner boots through to elite competition boots with custom lacing systems, removable liners and aggressive cuffs. Closed-toe vs open-toe — which to pick. Closed-toe boots size to your specific foot size (like a shoe). Tighter fit, more direct response between rider and board, better for confident riders pushing edge and pop. Open-toe boots use sizing ranges (S/M, L/XL) which means they fit a range of foot sizes — better for households where multiple riders share gear, or for first-timers who don’t want to commit to one foot size. Closed-toe boots are firmer overall; open-toe boots are usually softer flex. Skill levels. Beginner boots: soft flex, easy entry, more forgiving in falls, often bungee or hybrid lacing. Intermediate: moderate cuff, increased lateral support, dual lacing on most models. Advanced: high cuffs, stiff lateral support, hardshell construction, custom-fit liners, locking straps, hinged ankle pivots. The advanced range is competition-level — not easy to get on in the water, but maximum response. Mens, womens and kids spread. Womens-specific boots account for typical womens foot shape (narrower heel, different forefoot proportions) and lower body weight — flex is usually softer. Kids boots are scaled down with simpler lacing and easier entry. Use the filters to narrow. Lacing systems. Ronix runs several: traditional laces with thumb-lock for fast precision tightening, Boa dial systems for fine adjustment, hybrid lace-plus-bungee combos for easier entry. No system is “better” — pick by how you like to dial in your boot. Bindings vs boards. Wakeboard boots are the bindings (boots) that mount on a wakeboard. Sold separately from the board unless you buy a package. Match your boot size to the standard boot footprint on your board — we can confirm in-store or over the phone. Sizing. Use the manufacturer chart on each product page. If you’re between sizes on closed-toe, generally go down (boots loosen slightly when wet). On open-toe, the range sizing gives more forgiveness. Care. Rinse with fresh water after every session, especially salt. Check the boot-to-board screws before each ride. Don’t stand on the upper heel area when entering the boot (premature wear).
