For added safety, this boom utilizes a dual stainless steel cable system that runs all the way to the attachment point at the bow. There are no levers or moving parts in the clamp designs because they can loosen or break during use. It also has a quick release pin which makes it easy to attach and remove the boom. This boom Does Not need to attach to a ski pole therefore giving it the ablity to attach to any boat.
