Description

Masterline 8 Loop Mainline

The Masterline 8 Loop Mainline is a course-friendly water ski mainline built from 80-strand Poly-P rope at 70' total length. Eight take-off sections cover the line lengths most recreational and club-level course skiers run, with shortenings from 15' off through to 39.5' off.

The 80-strand construction sits one tier above the 60-strand 5-loop, holding shape and section accuracy better under repeated tournament-style course passes without paying for full tournament-grade rope.

Choose the 8 Loop Mainline if you ski the slalom course at club level or are progressing past 5-loop shortenings and want an 80-strand rope at a recreational price point.

Available Lengths: 70' total with 8 take-off sections (15' off through 39.5' off)

It's 80-strand Poly-P (one tier above the 60-strand 5-loop), holding shape and section accuracy better under repeated course passes. Eight take-off sections from 15' off through 39.5' off cover club-level course lengths. 70' total.
Club-level course skiers or anyone progressing past 5-loop shortenings who wants an 80-strand rope at a recreational price point.
A water ski rope is defined by its construction, number of shortening sections, and bridle style. Recreational ropes use low-stretch polypropylene with a wide bridle for stability, while tournament mainlines use pre-stretched or knotless sections for consistent, repeatable shortening lengths. Match the rope to your discipline — combo and recreational skiing, slalom, or trick — and pair it with a suitable handle.
A regulation water ski mainline is 23 metres (75 feet) to the handle at its longest, and is divided into shortening sections or loops that let skiers reduce the length as speed and skill increase. Some recreational ropes are a single fixed length. Check the individual product listing for its exact length and section breakdown.
Rinse in fresh water after each use and dry before storing. Coil the rope loosely — tight coiling can set kinks that affect performance. Store in a cool, dry place out of direct UV exposure to preserve the rope and the handle grip. Inspect section connections for wear before each session.
