The Ronix Eight.3 1" Elbow Quick Connect Hose Fitting is an angled ballast plumbing component that allows the ballast hose run to change direction by 90 degrees. It enables tidy, routed ballast installations in spaces where a straight run is not practical.
Use an elbow fitting when your ballast hose needs to turn a corner — such as routing around a seat pedestal, through a floor channel, or when the bag inlet is positioned at an angle to the hose run. It avoids kinking the hose to make the bend.
This elbow fitting is designed for 1-inch ballast hose — the standard size for most wake boat ballast systems. Confirm your hose is 1-inch diameter before purchasing.
An elbow fitting introduces slightly more flow resistance than a straight fitting due to the change in direction. In most ballast systems this difference is negligible. Avoid using multiple elbows in series — each additional bend reduces pump efficiency.
Flush with fresh water after saltwater sessions and inspect for cracking or UV degradation of the fitting body. Replace if the fitting leaks or the quick connect mechanism fails — a compromised ballast fitting can cause unexpected water ingress.
