Mirrors that keep your skier in view

Boat mirrors for towed water sports — universal clamp, suction cap, bimini clamp, windscreen and dedicated tow mirrors so the driver keeps eyes on the skier. All from CIPA, the dominant brand for ski boat mirrors.

Mount types and choosing the right mirror

Most Australian states require either a dedicated observer in the boat OR a wide-angle rear-view mirror when you’re towing a skier, wakeboarder, kneeboarder or tube rider — check your state authority for the exact rule. A good mirror is also faster and safer for the driver: instant glance versus turning round in your seat. CIPA. Every mirror in this range is CIPA, the industry-standard brand for ski boat mirrors. Build quality matters here — a mirror that wobbles at speed or slips off its mount is worse than no mirror at all. CIPA mirrors are built specifically for marine use, with shake-resistant arms and mounts designed to hold solid at tow speed. Mount types. Match the mirror to where you can attach it on your boat. Universal clamp mounts. The M Series, Comp II and Extreme models clamp onto your windscreen frame — the standard ski boat solution where you have a frame to attach to. Easy on, easy off, no permanent modification to the boat. Suction cap. The Suction Cap Rear View Mirror sticks to flat surfaces — the right call for rental boats, boats without a windscreen frame, or anyone who wants something temporary. Less stable than a clamp mount but goes anywhere. Bimini clamp. The Mirror with Bimini Clamp attaches to a bimini frame, useful for boats where the bimini is the most accessible mounting point. The standalone Bimini Mirror Clamp is the bracket on its own for replacements or upgrades. Windscreen bracket cup mount. The deluxe Windscreen Bracket Cup Mount gives a permanent fixed mount on the windscreen for the most stable possible position. Vision 180 panoramic. The wide-angle Vision 180 mirror covers the full field behind the boat in one glance — useful when one mirror has to do the work of two, or when you want maximum coverage from a single mount. Mounting bracket. The Round Marine Mirror Bracket is the standalone bracket for replacing a damaged mount or building a custom setup. Choosing by boat. Bowriders and ski boats with a windscreen frame: universal clamp. Open-bow boats without a frame: bimini clamp or suction cap. Rental or short-term use: suction cap. Maximum visibility: Vision 180. Fitting. Most clamp models fit straight on — no tools needed for the universal clamps. The bracket-mount options need a few minutes with a screwdriver. Care. Rinse with fresh water after salt water use, dry, store the suction-cap models out of direct sun when not in use.
