Womens slalom skis — complete ski packages with boots and RTP (rear toe plate), cut and shaped for women. From Radar, HO and KD. Beginner through advanced, with boot options to match.
Every ski in this collection is a complete package — slalom ski, front boot and rear toe plate (RTP), matched and ready to ride out of the box. No extra purchases needed to get on the water. Why a womens-specific cut matters. Softer flex tuned to lighter average rider weight, narrower boot last for proper foot fit, shape geometry balanced for typical female proportions. A small mens ski doesn’t ride the same way a properly-cut womens ski does — too stiff, boot too wide, shape designed for a different load profile. Shape categories represented across the range. Beginner / wide body. Radar Womens Session (with Lyric Boa or Prime boot). Wider tip and tail for forgiving starts and easier rides at slower boat speeds. The right choice for first-time single skiers. Intermediate / wide-to-hybrid. Radar Womens Union (with Lyric Boa or Prime). KD Xenon (with Axcess), KD Neon (with Bliss). HO Omni Ultra (with Stance or Atop, in the White colourway). The largest category in this collection — stable and capable, suitable for most recreational womens skiers. Performance. Radar Lyric Alloy (with Prime or Lyric Boa boot). Sharper response than the intermediate range, for confident skiers chasing carve performance. Advanced. Radar Lyric Graphite (with Prime or Lyric Boot). Stiffer construction, more direct response, more demanding to ride. For experienced womens skiers at higher boat speeds. Note on the range. No oversized (Hovercraft-style) or tournament-spec (Vapor-equivalent) womens skis currently in stock. If you’re looking for either end of that spectrum, give the store a call — staff can recommend the right unisex alternative. Boot options. Most skis come with multiple boot choices, because the boot affects feel and response as much as the ski itself. Radar Lyric and Lyric Boa, Radar Prime, HO Stance and Atop, KD Bliss and Axcess are the main options. Mostly open-toe — one size fits a range of foot sizes, easy to share if multiple women in the family ski. Sizing. By rider weight AND boat speed. Beginners and slower-boat skiers go one size longer than the chart for stability and easier starts. Charts on each product page. If unsure, see the slalom ski size guide. Brand spread. Radar dominates with the Session, Union and Lyric ranges. KD covers intermediate (Xenon, Neon). HO has the Omni Ultra in womens colourways. Demo before you buy. Many skis here are part of the Try Before You Buy program — hire over a weekend, hire fees vary by product, and if you buy within 4 weeks the hire fee comes off the sale price.
Three differences. The ski flex is softer, tuned to lighter average rider weight — a mens-flex ski feels dead and unresponsive under most women. The boot uses a narrower last that fits female feet properly. And the shape geometry is balanced for typical female proportions and load profiles. A small mens ski with a downsized boot won’t ride the way a properly-cut womens ski does. If you’re a woman buying a slalom ski, the womens-specific option will fit and ride better.
RTP is the rear toe plate — the rubber slip-on that holds your back foot. “With Lyric Boa Boot & RTP” means the ski comes packaged with the Lyric Boa front boot and a matching rear toe plate. Together that’s the complete setup — ski, front binding, rear binding — ready to ride out of the box. No need to buy boots separately. Most womens skiers run the RTP-and-front-boot combination; advanced course skiers sometimes use a rear boot instead.
By rider weight AND boat speed. Sizing isn’t gendered (the chart numbers are the same), but ski length needs to match both your weight and the speed the boat pulls at. Beginners and slower-boat skiers (under 30 mph) should go one size longer than the chart suggests — the extra length makes deep-water starts easier and gives more stability at lower speeds. Charts on each product page. See the slalom ski size guide if you’re unsure.
Yes — many womens slalom skis in this range are part of the Try Before You Buy program. Hire over a weekend (Friday to Monday) — hire fees vary by product. If you buy within 4 weeks of the hire period, the hire fee comes off the sale price. One week’s notice needed to book a specific ski. Particularly worth doing if you’re moving up from a wide-body to a hybrid or performance ski and want to know it suits before committing.
