KD is one of the most prolific brands in towed water sports, with a range that runs across nearly every category — slalom and trick skis, kneeboards, combo and kids' trainer skis, wakeboards and packages, wakeskates, towable tubes, plus the ropes, handles, gloves and covers that go with them. The through-line is user-friendly gear at sensible prices, with options from first-timers up to tournament skiers. On the ski side, KD slalom skis span wide-body and hybrid shapes that make starts and turns easier for beginners and social skiers, through to narrow tournament builds for the slalom course. Most come as a package with a boot and rear toe plate fitted. Combo and trainer skis cover learners and kids, and the trick skis are built for the tournament trick event. KD kneeboards come in both constructions. Plastic (roto-moulded) boards are tough, family-friendly and the easiest place to start — they shrug off knocks around the water's edge. Fibreglass boards are stiffer and hold an edge better with more pop off the wake, at a higher price and with less tolerance for dings. On the wake side, KD covers wakeboards, complete board-and-boot packages, boots and wakeskates for boat and cable. KD also makes towable tubes and the parts that keep them running — bladders, covers and tube spares — plus ropes and handles across the sports. Inflate tubes until the cover is taut, and let some air out after use so heat doesn't over-pressure them. Browse the full KD range online or visit the Brisbane store — the team rides KD gear and can match a ski, board or kneeboard to your weight and skill.
Yes — KD’s strength is user-friendly gear at sensible prices. Its wide-body slalom skis, plastic kneeboards and complete wakeboard packages are among the easiest gear to learn on, and the range still goes up to tournament slalom and trick skis as you progress.
Both. Plastic (roto-moulded) KD kneeboards are tough and family-friendly — the easiest to start on and the most forgiving of knocks. Fibreglass boards are stiffer, hold an edge better and pop more off the wake, at a higher price and with less tolerance for dings.
Most KD slalom skis are sold as a complete package with a front boot and rear toe plate fitted, ready to ski. Some higher-end models are also available as a bare ski for skiers fitting their own bindings. Check the individual product for what’s included.
They’re different events. A slalom ski is a single ski built to carve and turn at speed around a course. A trick ski is shorter, flat and fin-free for spins, flips and toe-hold tricks at low speed. KD makes both, and they aren’t interchangeable.
