Scaled-down cuts for learners and progressors

Why kids-specific. Kids wakeboard boots are scaled-down with simpler lacing, easier entry and softer flex calibrated for lower body weight. The boot has to be easy enough to get on and off when a kid is in the water (sometimes assisted), and forgiving enough to release properly on falls without putting load on developing ankles and knees. Open-toe is the typical pick for kids. Range sizing (S/M, L/XL) accommodates growing feet for at least a season or two, and the softer flex is better suited to learning. Closed-toe is available for kids progressing into more aggressive riding. Sizing. Use the manufacturer chart on each product page. Kids boots typically use shoe-size ranges. Don’t buy too big planning for them to grow into it — a loose wakeboard boot means a loose connection to the board, which makes learning harder and falls less predictable. Go up a size if you absolutely have to, but no more. Bindings vs boards. Wakeboard boots are the bindings that mount on a wakeboard. Sold separately from the board unless you buy a package. Match your kid’s boot size to the standard boot footprint on the board — we can confirm in-store or over the phone. Brand spread. Ronix has the deepest kids wake boot range. Hyperlite and Liquid Force both have kids-specific cuts. Care. Rinse with fresh water after every session. Check the boot-to-board screws before each ride. Don’t let your kid stand on the upper heel area when getting in. Open the laces wide first — don’t force feet in.
