A lace and lock kit replaces the laces and lace-lock (cam or clip) on a slalom ski boot, letting you cinch the boot tight and lock it in place. Kits typically include the lace and the locking hardware needed to refresh a worn setup.
Lace and lock kits are often brand-specific, as boot lace routing and lock fittings differ between makers. Check the kit against your boot brand and model before ordering, or contact us to confirm the right fit.
Replace slalom boot laces when they show fraying, thinning, or stiffness, or when the lock no longer holds tension reliably. A lace that fails mid-set can loosen the boot and affect control, so it's worth replacing at the first sign of wear.
Some slalom boot systems use a bungee lace section that adds a little give for comfort and easier entry while still holding the boot securely. Check the product listing to see whether a kit includes bungee sections or standard laces.
Rinse your boot and laces in fresh water after every use and let them dry out of direct sunlight. Keep grit out of the lace locks, don't over-tension worn laces, and inspect the laces and lock before each session, replacing them at the first sign of fraying.
