The Chain Fluke Anchor is the upgraded fluke with a length of galvanised chain factored in between anchor and rope. That chain matters: it keeps the anchor shank horizontal on the bottom so the flukes dig in properly instead of skipping along the surface, and it adds weight at the business end so light wind gusts don't lift the anchor before the flukes have set. The result is faster set and stronger hold compared to a fluke-on-rope rig.

Best for sandy and muddy bottoms where flukes do their work, on boats up to medium runabout size.
