Armstrong S1 Alloy Foil Mast

The Armstrong Alloy System was designed to enable riders of all skill levels to chase endless experiences on the water. Its modularity, broad performance range and exceptional build quality empowers riders of all levels to progress without limits.

Modularity is core to the Alloy System design. It’s fully compatible with all Armstrong front foils and stabilisers so as riders’ style evolves, so can their setup. Building on the knowledge and technology that led to our industry-leading carbon Performance Mast, the AA mast shape and structure are optimised from top to bottom for an excellent balance of efficiency and strength. This approach to design and attention to detail is exemplified in the Alloy System’s specially machined mast top and SailGP-inspired bottom bracket that are crafted from aerospace-grade aluminium alloys.

The system is outfitted exclusively with premium titanium and surgical stainless hardware for a light and highly corrosion resistant setup that’s durable over time. Industry-leading manufacturing tolerances make for a high performance, beautiful fit and finish overall.

    Available Sizes: 72cm/28.5", 85cm/33.5"

The Armstrong S1 Alloy Foil Mast is the aluminium mast from Armstrong's Alloy System, built for riders of all skill levels. Machined from aircraft-grade 6061 and 7075 alloys with titanium and stainless hardware, it balances efficiency, strength and corrosion resistance.
The Armstrong S1 Alloy Foil Mast comes in two lengths: 72cm (28.5 inches) and 85cm (33.5 inches). The mast section is 17.5mm thick, keeping it efficient through the water while staying strong enough for the loads of more advanced riding.
The Armstrong S1 Alloy Foil Mast is part of the Alloy System and is fully compatible with all Armstrong front foils and stabilisers. As a rider's style evolves the setup can grow with it, using custom M7 and M8 titanium and stainless screws.
Wakefoiling means riding a board fitted with a hydrofoil - a mast with wings that lifts the board clear of the water so you glide silently above the surface behind the boat, and can even ride the boat's wake without a rope. The large front wing provides lift, the smaller rear wing (stabiliser) controls pitch, and the mast connects the foil to the board. It takes some practice, but the ride is smooth and low-impact once you are flying.
