The AK comes in a single 4'10" and is an advanced to expert surf-style board, the Ashley Kidd (four-time world champion) pro model, for riders with a progressive, aggressive style.
It is built for advanced surf-style riding. Its added tail rocker allows lightning-quick turns, and its narrow width and concave base make it the fastest-reacting board in the Connelly line, ideal for bottom turns, spray slashes and above-the-lip aerials.
An epoxy construction over an EPS foam core with a 5 mm stringer and Vector Net for strength, a tip-to-tail concave base with a centre channel in the tail for speed, a Ghost Grip deck with a rear EVA pad, and a quad FCS II fin setup (two 3.1-inch and two 2.1-inch fins).
The AK is a surf-style board, built for drive, quick turns and aggressive wave riding rather than a loose, skatey skim feel.
Surf-style boards have more volume, thicker rails and larger fins, giving strong drive down the line and a surfy, wave-riding feel that suits most riders. Skim-style boards are thinner and flatter with smaller or fewer fins, so they sit looser and skatey on the wave, making spins, shuvits and surface tricks easier but taking more balance. Many riders start on a surf style and move toward skim as they progress.
Wakesurfer size is guided mainly by rider weight and skill: heavier riders and beginners suit a longer board with more volume for easier planing and stability, while lighter or more advanced riders can drop to a shorter, looser board. Board style matters too, as skim boards are usually ridden shorter than surf boards. Check the size guide or ask our team for a recommendation.

The board arrived securely wrapped up safe. Very fast delivery from interstate and extremely easy to deal with the team at Waterskiers World. What a fun board to use. Awesome graphics.
