The Fly High Quick Twist Cap is a sealing cap for Fly High's Quick Twist ballast bag fittings. It plugs into the Quick Twist connection port to seal off unused ballast lines and prevent water from entering open ports during boat operation.
The Quick Twist Cap uses a twist-lock mechanism — push in, twist, and lock to seal the port. This is faster than threaded caps and less likely to be cross-threaded during quick access at the boat ramp or on the water.
The Quick Twist Cap is specifically designed for Fly High Quick Twist series fittings. It is not interchangeable with standard barb or threaded fittings. Ensure your ballast system uses Quick Twist ports before purchasing this cap.
Yes — Quick Twist Caps are small and can be lost overboard or in the bilge. Keeping one or two spares on board ensures you are never caught with an unsealed ballast port. They are inexpensive insurance against a potentially serious water ingress issue.
Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use. Inspect the seal for cracking or loss of flexibility. A deteriorated seal will not prevent water ingress — replace immediately if the cap no longer seals firmly in the fitting.
