The Jetpilot RX Vault Tour Coat is a 2mm neoprene outer layer worn for warmth and wind protection on a PWC, rather than a snug in-water wetsuit. It's cut looser for movement and layering, with a hood, cuff adjusters and two external pockets for touring.
Neoprene thickness is chosen for water temperature. Thinner neoprene (around 1.5–2 mm), as used in neo shorts and spring suits, suits warmer conditions and maximises flexibility, while thicker 3 mm and steamer-weight suits add warmth for cooler Australian water.
