A tow disc (or funboard/ski disc) is a round or shaped board you ride sitting, kneeling, or standing while towed behind a boat. It's an easy, fun way for beginners and kids to get on the water, and experienced riders use them for spins and tricks.
Yes — tow discs are one of the easiest tow toys to ride, letting beginners and children sit or kneel and enjoy being towed without the balance needed for skis or a wakeboard. Start slow and build up as confidence grows.
Use a standard tow rope and handle suited to the number of riders — a single-rider ski or disc rope with a wide handle works well. Match the rope's rider rating to how you're using the disc, and don't use a stretchy tube rope for standing disc riding unless it's rated for it.
Some tow discs have foot straps for standing and tricks, while others are ridden sitting or kneeling with no straps. Check the product to see whether it includes straps and how it's designed to be ridden.
Yes — tow discs can be towed behind most boats and PWCs with a suitable tow point and rope. Keep speeds appropriate to the rider's ability and the disc's design, and follow safe-towing practice with a spotter.
