The Liquid Force Ace Skim is built for intermediate riders chasing sharper skim tricks and harder carving. It comes in three sizes, including a larger 60-inch option, so heavier riders can get the same quick, responsive skim feel that lighter riders get on the shorter boards.
The Liquid Force Ace Skim comes in 52, 56 and 60 inches. Lighter riders suit the 52-inch, while the 60-inch gives heavier riders the float they need for a skim board. Our wakesurf size guide helps you match length to your weight and skill.
The Liquid Force Ace Skim uses Dura-Surf construction over an ultra-light Aero core with carbon twill lamination. A flat-to-slight-V hull, shallow swallow tail, dual-texture EVA deck and a single skim-style fin cut drag and add drive, so it responds instantly to your weight shifts.
The Liquid Force Ace Skim is a dedicated skim board. Its slim, lightweight shape, flat-to-slight-V hull and single skim fin make it loose and quick to spin and slide, favouring skatey tricks and tight pocket riding over the long, drawn-out carves of a surf board.
Surf-style boards have more volume, thicker rails and larger fins, giving strong drive down the line and a surfy, wave-riding feel that suits most riders. Skim-style boards are thinner and flatter with smaller or fewer fins, so they sit looser and skatey on the wave, making spins, shuvits and surface tricks easier but taking more balance. Many riders start on a surf style and move toward skim as they progress.
Wakesurfer size is guided mainly by rider weight and skill: heavier riders and beginners suit a longer board with more volume for easier planing and stability, while lighter or more advanced riders can drop to a shorter, looser board. Board style matters too, as skim boards are usually ridden shorter than surf boards. Check the size guide or ask our team for a recommendation.
