The Liquid Force Boat Defender is a boat fender made from durable 2-Tuff injection-moulded EVA foam that resists scuff marks and won't absorb water. Measuring 22" x 8" x 4", its non-marking surface protects the hull against docks and other vessels — and it doubles as a beverage float.
The Boat Defender uses a quick-release adjustable locking cam cleat — attach the cleat to the boat, loop your line over the cleat or piling, and it's secure in one move. A simple tug adjusts or releases it, making setup and stowing fast.
As a general guide, use at least three fenders on the side you're berthing, adding more for a longer boat — roughly one per few metres of hull plus one at each point the boat will touch the dock or another vessel. Position them where the hull is widest.
Match fender size to your boat's length and weight — larger, heavier boats need bigger fenders to absorb the load, while smaller boats suit compact fenders. Check the fender's dimensions against your boat, and step up a size if you moor in rough or exposed water.
Rinse fenders in fresh water after saltwater use to clear salt and grime, and check inflatable fenders hold air before each trip. Store them out of prolonged direct sun to protect the material; inflatable fenders can be deflated and packed away when not in use.
