The Masterline Outboard Bridle XL is an extended-length tow bridle designed to attach to the back of a boat and distribute the pull from towing water skiers, tubes, or other towed equipment. The XL version is longer than the standard bridle for use with specific boat configurations.
The XL Outboard Bridle is designed for outboard motor boats where a longer bridle is needed to clear the motor and provide a clean tow point. It is particularly useful on centre-console and runabout-style boats used for recreational skiing and tubing.
A tow bridle distributes the pulling load evenly across two attachment points at the stern of the boat rather than a single point. This reduces stress on any single fitting, provides a centred tow angle, and keeps the rope clear of the motor and propeller.
Yes — the outboard bridle is suitable for towing tubes as well as skiers. Ensure the bridle load rating is appropriate for the number of riders and the tube weight at towing speeds. Heavy or multi-rider tubes generate significant tow loads.
Rinse in fresh water after every use and inspect all shackles, snap hooks, and the rope itself for wear, corrosion, or damage. Replace the bridle if any component shows significant wear — a failing bridle under load is a serious safety hazard.

Not as long as I thought!

I bought this Bridle to run from the rear clets as they are higher on the boat but they were't long enough. Didn't want the clips for that reason. Had to attached them to rear tie-down points as most people would and they work well but now I need the clips. You still can't tilt up without them getting caught but performed well regardless. Not sure why they are called XL as they are barely long enough. I own a 5.5m bowrider with a 115 outboard. Would be good in deep water without the need tilt/trim, running up on to the sand at the beach you need to be careful. Once I add the stainless clips they might be just long enough to clear the prop.
