Tube ropes are rated by the maximum number of riders they can safely tow — always match the rope's rider rating to the tube and the number of people on it. Heavier tubes and larger groups generate higher loads, so a rope rated for more riders uses stronger construction and reinforced loop connections. Check the rating on the product listing.
Towable tube ropes are typically 50–60 feet (about 15–18 metres) long, the standard range for towing behind a boat. This keeps riders clear of the boat's wake turbulence while keeping tow loads manageable. Check the individual product for its exact length.
Most tube ropes connect to any towable tube that uses a standard loop or quick-connect tow attachment, and suit single and multi-person tubes from all major brands including WOW, KD, Radar, O'Brien, and Jobe. Just make sure the rope's rider rating matches your tube.
No — never use a ski mainline or wakeboard rope for towing a tube. These ropes are not rated for the dynamic shock loads generated by towable tubes with multiple riders. Always use a purpose-built tube rope rated for the number of riders on the tube.
Check the full length of the rope for fraying, cuts, or UV degradation, and inspect the loop ends for wear or separation from the rope body. Any rope showing significant wear at the loops or along the shaft should be retired and replaced before towing.

I recommend this product

New Bunji tow rope.

It’s really good it’s definitely an awesome feature I’d recommend. Especially if your whipping the boys around in an extreme way. Where we found it most use full is when the lone went slack it’s much more gentle when the line retentions I have to say that gave the smaller children a less jerky ride. And gave us more saftey when the older kids wanted us to go harder with the tube. The bunji is really big and bulky and super strong. Really strong and extremely well intergrated into the rope. It’s positioned in the Center about 1m long and that’s the perfect spot they have obviously tested this because it performs perfectly. It has one problem that the bunji is much heavier than the rope which floats on its own. So this tow rope does not keep the bunji out of the water it sinks the rope. So your deck hand needs to be up and ready to keep it out of the way of the prop when you let it out or bring it in . Especially if your reversing. Had our own minor incident had to detangle it nothing serious but we were much more careful after that. But over all it’s way better than any other tow rope we have used. Because of the safety margin in keeping the line tight with A smoother pull on the whip and when reloading after a slack line. I’ve thought about adding floats either side of the bunji haven’t tried that yet. We used it for a week during Xmas new year and the fun never stopped. Highly recommend it.
