The Masterline Water Ski Dog Leash is designed to safely tow a dog behind a boat while water skiing or cruising. It attaches the dog securely to the boat so they can enjoy the water alongside their owner without the risk of swimming free in open water.
The Masterline Water Ski Dog Leash is designed for use with dogs wearing a properly fitted life vest. Always ensure your dog is wearing a PFD and is comfortable in the water before towing. Check the leash length and attachment point suit your dog's size and the boat setup.
The leash attaches to a secure cleat, tow point, or stern fitting on the boat. Never attach it to a rope or ski hook that could fail under load. Ensure the attachment point allows the dog to be in the water comfortably alongside the boat at low speed.
Towing a dog should only be done at slow, controlled speeds appropriate for the dog's swimming ability and comfort. Never tow a dog at skiing speeds — this leash is designed for low-speed water play alongside the boat, not high-speed towing.
Rinse the leash and all hardware in fresh water after every use. Inspect the clip, rope, and stitching for wear or corrosion. Saltwater and UV exposure degrade rope and metal components over time — replace the leash at the first sign of significant wear.
