A floating lounge is an inflatable platform designed for relaxing on the water rather than being towed. It gives you a stable place to sit, lie back, or gather between swims, and works well anchored near the boat or off a beach.
Capacity varies by model, from single-person loungers to multi-seat platforms. Each design lists a recommended number of users and a weight limit, so check the product description and stay within it to keep the lounge stable and sitting correctly on the water.
Most floating lounges include D-rings or a built-in anchor bag so you can tie off to a boat or drop an anchor. Fill the anchor bag with sand or water to hold position in light wind and current, and keep clear of boat traffic.
Use an electric or high-volume hand pump to inflate each chamber until firm but not hard, leaving a little give so the seams are not over-stressed. Inflate in shade where possible, as air expands in the sun, and let some out on very hot days.
Rinse with fresh water after use to remove salt and sand, then dry fully before folding to prevent mildew. Store deflated in a cool, dry place out of direct sun, and check the valves and seams for leaks at the start of each season.
