How to fit your vest
Yes — the Radar Cameo is certified L50S (PFD 3), the towed-watersports approval for smooth waters. It's also legal on a PWC in smooth water zones; beyond smooth waters, jetski riders need a high-visibility Level 50.
The Cameo uses Radar's anatomical ladies pro fit with internal and external segmentation, eco-friendly Airprene construction and Hyper-5 Ultrasoft foam — a low-profile womens vest for intermediate to advanced riders logging long days behind the boat.
The Radar Cameo comes in womens sizes 6 through 16. It's a fitted womens cut — snug across the chest and ribs without restricting breathing is the fit to aim for.
L50 and L50S carry the same buoyancy. The difference is colour: an L50 must be high-visibility, which is why PWC riders often wear them, while an L50S comes in any colour and is the usual pick for towed watersports. Which one is approved where depends on your state — see our state-by-state life vest guide.
Life vests are sized by chest measurement and weight (and by age for children). Match your measurements to the brand's size chart and do it up fully — a correctly sized vest is snug and won't ride up over your face when you lift at the shoulders. Check every buckle and strap holds firm.
Rinse the vest in fresh water after each use and dry it in the shade, out of direct sunlight. Check the buckles, straps, stitching, and flotation before each outing, and replace the vest if any part is damaged or the flotation is compromised.
