How to fit your vest
Yes — the JP Mod L50s is certified L50S (PFD 3), the towed-watersports approval for smooth waters, and legal on a PWC in smooth water zones. Beyond smooth waters, riders need a high-visibility Level 50.
The JP Mod was developed with pro skier Joel Poland. It pairs 4-way stretch neoprene with Hyper-5 Ultrasoft foam, internal-to-external segmentation and heat-transferred badges — a mens pro fit for intermediate to advanced riders.
The Radar JP Mod L50s comes in mens sizes XS through 4XL. It's a pro-fit cut — snug like a wetsuit rather than loose over the shoulders.
L50 and L50S carry the same buoyancy. The difference is colour: an L50 must be high-visibility, which is why PWC riders often wear them, while an L50S comes in any colour and is the usual pick for towed watersports. Life vests are sized by chest measurement and weight (and by age for children). Match your measurements to the brand's size chart and do it up fully — a correctly sized vest is snug and won't ride up over your face when you lift at the shoulders. Check every buckle and strap holds firm.
Rinse the vest in fresh water after each use and dry it in the shade, out of direct sunlight. Check the buckles, straps, stitching, and flotation before each outing, and replace the vest if any part is damaged or the flotation is compromised.
