Radar Trailer Boat Guides are mounted on the sides of your boat trailer to guide the boat centrally onto the trailer during retrieval. They prevent hull damage from trailer contact and make solo boat loading significantly easier, especially in moving water or current.
Bolt the guide posts to the upright supports on your trailer frame symmetrically on each side. Position them so the boat hull slides centrally between them. Check alignment using your boat before final tightening.
Radar Trailer Boat Guides use a standard mounting configuration suited to most boat trailer upright frames. Check the mounting hardware dimensions against your trailer's upright tube size to confirm compatibility before purchasing.
Choose guide post height based on your boat's freeboard (hull side height). The posts should extend above the widest point of the hull to catch the boat from either side. Most ski and wakeboard boats suit a standard guide height.
Rinse with fresh water after saltwater sessions and check all mounting bolts for corrosion and tightness. Inspect the guide rollers or pads for wear and replace when they no longer protect the hull effectively during trailer loading.
