Yes. The Ronix Brightside is an all-levels hybrid built to be a genuine one-board option. It's light and forgiving for deep-water starts, yet stable enough for wakeboard-inspired tricks, suiting riders from beginner through to improving surfers.
The Ronix Brightside comes in 4'9" and 5'2". Size by rider weight, with heavier riders suiting the 5'2"; check our wakesurf size guide if you're unsure which length suits you.
It's a lightweight Standard Core board with a thin profile and hard rails, plus two adjustable removable straps for locking in tricks and airs. It runs a three-fin setup with one 2.9" and two 2.3" polycarbonate fins.
The Ronix Brightside is a hybrid, blending the stability and drive of a surf board with a looser, wakeboard-influenced feel. The removable straps let you ride it strapped for airs or strapless for traditional surfing.
Surf-style boards have more volume, thicker rails and larger fins, giving strong drive down the line and a surfy, wave-riding feel that suits most riders. Skim-style boards are thinner and flatter with smaller or fewer fins, so they sit looser and skatey on the wave, making spins, shuvits and surface tricks easier but taking more balance. Many riders start on a surf style and move toward skim as they progress.
Wakesurfer size is guided mainly by rider weight and skill: heavier riders and beginners suit a longer board with more volume for easier planing and stability, while lighter or more advanced riders can drop to a shorter, looser board. Board style matters too, as skim boards are usually ridden shorter than surf boards. Check the size guide or ask our team for a recommendation.
