The Ronix Carbon Air Core 4 Skimmer comes in two sizes, 53 inches and 58 inches. Heavier riders and those wanting more surface area suit the 58, while lighter riders after quicker spins suit the 53. See our wakesurf size guide to match your weight.
The Ronix Carbon Air Core 4 Skimmer uses spread tow carbon shared with Ronix's foil boards, keeping it light and responsive. Speedwalls urethane sidewalls add speed and hold, while a smooth centre rocker with flatter, hard rails balances drive and stability. Floating Blueprint carbon fins fit the button system.
The Ronix Carbon Air Core 4 Skimmer is a skim style wakesurfer. Its low volume, thin profile and loose, flatter rails let it spin and slide freely across the wake, favouring quick surface tricks and spins over the drawn-out carves of a surf board.
Surf-style boards have more volume, thicker rails and larger fins, giving strong drive down the line and a surfy, wave-riding feel that suits most riders. Skim-style boards are thinner and flatter with smaller or fewer fins, so they sit looser and skatey on the wave, making spins, shuvits and surface tricks easier but taking more balance. Many riders start on a surf style and move toward skim as they progress.
Wakesurfer size is guided mainly by rider weight and skill: heavier riders and beginners suit a longer board with more volume for easier planing and stability, while lighter or more advanced riders can drop to a shorter, looser board.
