Salty Captain Salt Wash is a lubricant-based detergent that removes salt residue from boats, PWCs, cars, 4WDs, and RVs. As it cleans it leaves a light protective film for longer-lasting cleanliness. It's Australian-made, biodegradable, and applied as a thick foam then rinsed off.
Add the Salt Wash detergent to a foam canister such as the Captain's Musket, coat the surface in a thick layer of foam, then rinse off. The lubricant-based formula lifts salt while leaving a light protective film, so you spend less time cleaning between uses.
A salt wash cleans and removes salt from a boat or PWC's exterior surfaces, while an engine flush runs cleaner and fresh water through the engine's raw-water cooling system to clear internal salt and debris. Most saltwater users benefit from doing both after a run.
Most marine cleaners are formulated to be safe on gelcoat, painted surfaces, glass, metal, and vinyl, but some are surface-specific (for example, a dedicated vinyl protectant). Always check the label for the intended surfaces and test on a small area first.
