Straight Line Sumo Max 575 Sac

Compact dimensions still offer adequate weight for many applications with the speed of Sumo Max. The Sumo Max 575 features the same construction and performance as the standard Sumo ballast bags, along with the added speed of the Sumo Max fill port. The 575 ballast bag is a great alternative for those that don't have the locker space to fit larger Sumo Max bags.

Features

  • SUMO Skin 1000D
SUMO Sacs are made with flexible and puncture-resistant fabric, “SUMO Skin.” It has a durable 1000 Denier polyester core that is heat laminated to lightweight PVC skins with a bonding agent. This sandwich construction is 150% stronger in tearing tests and 37% higher in tensile strength than any other fat sacs out there, making it the most durable ballast bag available.
  • SUMO Seams
Every SUMO sac is double welded to ensure a watertight seal. The tough SUMO Skin is overlapped and hot air welded. You can see the smooth and clean seams on the outside of every bag, and a second welding operation applies an inch wide sealing tape to the inside of every seam.
  • SUMO MAX FLOW LINK™ Valve
The new SUMO MAX FLOW valve is a new 1 ½ Inch diameter high flow version of the Sumo LINK™ system. The SUMO Max Flow valve provides the same hassle free watertight connection to your Sumo Max Pump but with massive 50% LARGER intake. The Sumo Max system is 100% compatible with the classic Sumo and Big Bag ballast systems.
  • LINK™ Valve
The unique LINK™ system provides a hassle free connection to your Sumo Pump, keeping your boat dry on the inside. The Link™ Valve is watertight and can also be used as a convenient way to purge air from your bag.
  • 1”NPT Valves
NEW easy turning cap with a perfect water tight seal. Pressure tested up to 6 PSI. The 1” NPT ports allow built in ballast systems to fill, drain and vent quickly for hassle free operation.

Ballast bags come in a wide range of capacities, from around 400 lb up to 1,100 lb or more, so you can match the weight to your boat and the wake you want. Check the individual product for its rated capacity — the name usually states the weight (for example, a 650 lb sac holds around 650 lb of water).
Ballast bags use a threaded or quick-connect fill and drain fitting that connects to a ballast pump and plumbing. Fitting types vary by brand and system — check the product listing and match it to your pump and hoses, or use an adaptor where needed.
Ballast bags are placed in the bow, rear lockers, under seats, or in the V-drive lockers depending on the bag and the wake you're shaping. Bow bags settle the boat, while rear and surf-side bags build the wake for wakeboarding and wakesurfing. Choose bags sized to fit your boat's storage areas.
Fill time depends on the bag's capacity and your pump's flow rate — a larger bag takes longer, and a high-flow pump fills faster. Aerator-style ballast pumps typically fill a large sac in a few minutes. Avoid over-filling, and open the vent so the bag fills fully.
Drain the bag fully after use and let it dry before long-term storage to prevent mould and odour. Store it out of direct sunlight, and check the fittings and seams for leaks or wear. Emptying bags before trailering also protects your boat and bag.
