A tow bridle attaches to two points on the towing vessel to create a single, centred tow point for skiing, tubing, or other towed watersports. It gives a balanced pull angle and, on an outboard boat, keeps the rope clear of the motor and propeller.
An outboard (boat) bridle clips to the two stern points of a boat, while a jetski or PWC bridle attaches to the tow eye or pole points of a personal watercraft. Both create a centred tow point suited to the vessel — choose the bridle made for your craft and check it's long enough to clear the motor.
Yes — bridles suit both skiing and tube towing. Make sure the bridle's load rating is appropriate for your use, as multi-rider tube towing generates significantly higher loads than a single skier.
Clip the bridle ends to the vessel's two tow points so the V-shape centres the tow point at the midline. Check that every clip, shackle, and hook is fully secured before heading out — a failed connection under load is a serious safety hazard.
Rinse in fresh water after every use and inspect all clips, shackles, and rope sections for wear, corrosion, or fraying. Replace the bridle immediately if any component is damaged — a bridle failure under towing load is a serious safety risk.
