The full HO range — slalom skis, ski boots, kneeboards, ropes, handles, gloves, apparel and accessories. Over 50 years of slalom skiing heritage, one of the foundational brands in the sport.
Why HO. HO has been in slalom skiing for over 50 years — one of the longest-running brands in the sport. The slalom range covers oversized beginner cruisers through to tournament 3-Event tournament skis, with everything from the most forgiving wide-body shapes at one end to refined tournament construction at the other. HO’s range extends into kneeboards, gloves, ropes, handles and apparel. The full brand range. This collection pulls everything HO across every category we stock. Use it as the brand hub, or use the sub-category collections (HO Slalom Skis, HO Slalom Ski Boots, and so on) to filter. Slalom skis. Beginner cruisers (oversized), intermediate hybrid shapes, advanced tournament 3-Event skis. Mens, womens and kids. Sold as complete packages with matched boots and rear toe plates. Slalom ski blanks. Bare skis without bindings, for tournament skiers fitting their own custom boot systems. Slalom ski boots and rear toe plates. Open-toe with traditional and Atop dial lacing, plus closed-toe hardshell tournament boots. Adjustable, fixed, and womens-specific rear toe plates. Kneeboards. HO kneeboards in fibreglass construction — performance-oriented shapes for progressing and advanced riders. Ropes and handles. Slalom ropes (pre-stretched Poly low-stretch), slalom handles (Short-Vee and Long-Vee), kneeboard ropes. Gloves. Waterski gloves across multiple palm materials — Kevlar for high-end slalom and jump, suede for general use. Apparel and accessories. Water ski rashys, T-shirts, hats. Ski covers and ski sleeves. Sizing. Slalom skis by rider weight AND boat speed (chart on each product page; beginners go one size longer). Boots by foot size — closed-toe go down if between sizes, open-toe gives forgiveness through range sizing. Fin and foil. HO skis arrive with factory fin and foil settings — these are the result of professional R&D. Leave them alone until you genuinely understand fin theory. Factory foil is typically 7° down angle. Don’t go below 6° — risk of tail blowout. Try Before You Buy. Selected HO skis are in our demo fleet. Hire fees vary by product.
Slalom is the core of the brand, but HO also makes kneeboards (fibreglass construction), waterski gloves, slalom and kneeboard ropes and handles, water ski apparel and accessories. The slalom range itself is the deepest part of the brand though — oversized beginner cruisers, intermediate hybrid shapes, tournament 3-Event skis, plus a full boot and rear toe plate range. Use this collection as the brand hub, or the sub-category collections to narrow.
Two variables: rider weight and boat speed. Every HO product page has the manufacturer chart that pairs them. The standard published sizes are calibrated for reasonably proficient skiers. As a general rule, if you’re a beginner, returning to skiing after time away, or skiing at slower boat speeds, go one size longer than the chart suggests. The longer ski floats higher, gives an easier start, and forgives more technique errors. You can size down later when you’re confident. Call us if you want a sizing call.
Usually yes — the slalom ski hole pattern is reasonably standardised across major brands, so HO boots mount to most modern HO, Radar, Connelly and KD slalom ski blanks. Some older skis used non-standard patterns. Call us with your ski model and we’ll confirm the hole pattern matches before you order — cheaper than finding out at the boat ramp.
Look in the oversized beginner range — widest tip and tail, maximum surface area, easy starts, very forgiving on technique errors. That category is the benchmark for a first-time slalom buyer who just wants to get up and stay up. From there you can progress to the intermediate hybrid shapes once you’re comfortable. As a beginner buying any slalom ski, go one size longer than the manufacturer chart suggests — more ski equals more lift equals easier start.
