The Hyperlite Hi-Fi is a skim-style board that works for riders learning skim waking as well as experienced riders after a playful, trick-focused platform. Its forgiving pop and spin response make progression feel natural, so it suits anyone moving from cable to boat or building their trick game.
The Hyperlite Hi-Fi comes in two sizes, 53" and 56". Lighter riders can choose the 53" for a quicker, looser feel, while heavier riders wanting more float and stability should size up to the 56". Our wakesurf size guide can help you match length to your weight.
The Hyperlite Hi-Fi uses DuraShell construction over an EPS core, resisting the heel dents and dings of regular use. A flat tip and tail base design gives a light, responsive skim feel, and the fully machined EVA traction pad locks your feet in through spins and slides.
The Hyperlite Hi-Fi is a skim-style board. Its flat tip and tail, light build and quick spin response favour surface slides, spins and skate-like tricks rather than the drive-focused carving of a surf shape, making it a natural pick for learning skim riding.
Surf-style boards have more volume, thicker rails and larger fins, giving strong drive down the line and a surfy, wave-riding feel that suits most riders. Skim-style boards are thinner and flatter with smaller or fewer fins, so they sit looser and skatey on the wave, making spins, shuvits and surface tricks easier but taking more balance. Many riders start on a surf style and move toward skim as they progress.
Wakesurfer size is guided mainly by rider weight and skill: heavier riders and beginners suit a longer board with more volume for easier planing and stability, while lighter or more advanced riders can drop to a shorter, looser board.
