The Hyperlite Raven is a competition-style skim board for riders serious about progression. The Hyperlite Raven comes in two sizes, 51" and 53". Lighter riders can choose the 51" for a quicker, looser feel, while heavier riders wanting more drive and stability should size up to the 53". Our wakesurf size guide can help you match length to your weight.
The Hyperlite Raven uses full carbon PVC construction for a light, responsive board with dynamic flex that absorbs impact for clean landings. A swallow pin tail and shallow belly concave hold you in the pocket, while a symmetrical shape supports riding both regular and revert.
The Hyperlite Raven is a skim-style board. Its flat rocker, sharp rails and symmetrical competition shape favour fast, technical spins, slides and switch riding rather than the drive-focused carving of a surf board, matching its skim-focused single fin setup.
Surf-style boards have more volume, thicker rails and larger fins, giving strong drive down the line and a surfy, wave-riding feel that suits most riders. Skim-style boards are thinner and flatter with smaller or fewer fins, so they sit looser and skatey on the wave, making spins, shuvits and surface tricks easier but taking more balance. Many riders start on a surf style and move toward skim as they progress.
Wakesurfer size is guided mainly by rider weight and skill: heavier riders and beginners suit a longer board with more volume for easier planing and stability, while lighter or more advanced riders can drop to a shorter, looser board.
