Best Womens Wakeboards 2027: Beginner to Advanced | Waterskiers World

Short answer: This range splits two ways. If you're learning or riding at an intermediate level, look at the Connelly Lotus, KD Grace, Ronix Krush, Hyperlite Eden or Liquid Force Angel. If you're ready to step up and push tricks, choose between the Liquid Force Remedy ZK (shaped with pro rider Zahra Kell), the Ronix Rise, Hyperlite Journey, Hyperlite Prizm and Meagan Ethell's signature Liquid Force Muse. Every pick comes as a package with boots.

Want rocker lines, fins and asymmetrical shapes explained first? Reuben covers them in The Breakdown: picking the perfect wakeboard.

Beginner to intermediate

Connelly Lotus with Optima boots

The Lotus takes you from your first wake crossing through to solid tricks. Long molded fins grip without dragging, and a centre fin locks you in on edge while you learn. The 3-stage rocker carves smoothly across the flats and gives clean pop off the wake when you're ready to launch. A forgiving flex and balanced design mean more riding and less swimming. The women's Optima boots have a lycra-lined heel and toe for quick entry and a single lace.

Board: 131, 136 cm · Boots: 3–6, 7–10

KD Grace with Charm boots

KD built the Grace around a woman's lower centre of balance. A continuous rocker keeps it stable and helps stop you catching an edge. Dual molded fins and a variable edge rail make it turn responsively when you start carving on both sides of the wake. It comes in one length, 136 cm. The Charm boots have a lycra-lined heel and toe so they slip on easily, and a single lace locks them down.

Board: 136 cm · Boots: 3–6, 7–10

Ronix Krush with Luxe boots

The Krush treats each edge differently. Heel-side, it has vertical sidewalls and shorter fins so it glides and lets go easily. Toe-side, it has longer fins and sharper rails for grip. The 3-stage rocker puts you in a neutral position with your weight relaxed over the board. Ronix rates it entry level to intermediate. The Luxe boot's MainFrame chassis wraps around your foot as you pull the AutoLock laces tight, and the soft Stage 1 foam keeps it light. Ronix rates it 4/10 for flex.

Board: 130, 135, 140 cm · Boots: 6–8.5, 8–10.5

Hyperlite Eden with Jinx boots

The Eden pairs an abrupt continuous rocker, which adds a little more kick off the wake, with an asymmetrical shape that makes toe-side edging feel natural when you're carving into the wake or switching edges. Hyperlite's Satin Flex construction soaks up chop, so it stays comfortable through a long day, and the molded fins release cleanly. It works behind any boat. The Jinx boots use Dual Lace Zones for ankle support you can adjust between runs, with a 3D molded tongue for cushioning.

Board: 130, 135 cm · Boots: 4–8, 8–11

Liquid Force Angel with Plush boots

Liquid Force pitches the Angel from beginner right through to advanced, so it's the board in this group you're least likely to outgrow. A continuous rocker gives smooth, predictable edging and a solid kick off the wake. Molded side fins keep it tracking with little drag. Once you're comfortable edging, take out the centre fin for a looser, more playful ride. The Plush boots are a women's-specific design, with an EVA impact footbed for hard landings, dual laces and a stretch zone in the cuff.

Stepping up: pushing your tricks

Liquid Force Remedy ZK with Tao boots

Zahra Kell's competition feedback shaped the Remedy, which runs an aggressive 3-stage rocker. It's built for riders who want to land tricks consistently, from a first wake-to-wake through to refining technique at intermediate level. It reads the water cleanly through turns and gives real lift off the wake on approach, while a forgiving flex keeps your mind on the trick, not the board. It comes with a closed-toe boot. The Tao has a wider fit and softer flex, and comes in Black or White.

Board: 134, 138 cm · Boots: 4–6, 6–8, 8–10, 10–12, 12–13

Ronix Rise with Rise boots

Ronix built the Rise from female riders' feedback asking for the lightest, fastest women's board it could make. It's aimed at intermediate to advanced riders moving on to bigger jumps and wider cuts. A lightweight Italian foam core takes over 20% off the weight, according to Ronix, and the hybrid rocker responds quickly out of turns without an edge hold so steep it overloads the rope. The Air Core 3 construction is tuned for each size. Four 1.0" ramp fins and four 0.8" asymmetrical fins give you hold for carving and a clean release for landings. The Rise boots are closed-toe and sold in single sizes, built on the Mainframe 2.0 High Cut with a FlexForm 3D heel panel. Ronix rates them 7/10 for flex.

Board: 133, 137 cm · Boots: 6, 7, 8, 9

Hyperlite Journey with Jinx boots

The Journey is Hyperlite's forgiving option for intermediate to advanced riders who still want responsive pop. A 3-stage rocker launches cleanly off any size wake, and cupped rails at the tip and tail give edge control for carving hard into your approach. A Soft Landing Spine absorbs impact on the days you're learning something new. Satin Flex construction snaps back quickly and stays stable while you dial in technique. It runs four 0.8" P-Wing fins and comes with the open-toe Jinx boot.

Board: 132, 136, 140 cm · Boots: 4–8, 8–11

Hyperlite Prizm with Viva boots

The Prizm is for intermediate to advanced riders ready to push tricks and boost higher. Its 3-stage rocker has no flat spot, which gives more surface underfoot and a big boost when you hit the wake. The rounded edges between the inserts sharpen underfoot for edge hold, and cupped tips and tails forgive a landing that isn't quite right. It runs four P-Wing fins. The Viva boots combine a quick-cinch lace zone with an upper ankle Velcro strap, so you can tighten them mid-session.

Board: 134, 139 cm · Boots: 4–8.5, 8–11

Liquid Force Muse with Plush boots

The Muse is Meagan Ethell's signature board, built for riders who are landing inverts and spins consistently and chasing bigger air. An aggressive 3-stage rocker gives explosive pop, and the modern outline keeps it precise underfoot. A subtle D-I-S-C hull and slightly thicker, rounder rails take the edge off hard landings. Removable asymmetric side fins give a directional feel on edge. Liquid Force says it works best behind a boat with enough power to load the wake properly. It comes with the same Plush boots as the Angel.

Board: 135, 139 cm · Boots: 4–7, 7–10

Open-toe or closed-toe boots?

Eight of these ten packages come with open-toe boots. Open-toe boots cover a range of sizes, so one pair can be shared between riders on the boat. The two exceptions are both in the stepping up group. The Remedy ZK's closed-toe Tao boot comes in five narrower size bands, from 4–6 up to 12–13. The Ronix Rise boot is sold in single sizes, 6 to 9, for a fit that's specific to you. For sizing, use the wakeboard boot size guide.

Picking a length

Board length comes from your weight first, with height as a check. Plug both into our wakeboard size finder. If you land between two lengths, take the longer one, especially while you're learning. Riding the wrong size is the most common mistake we see. Every product page also carries that manufacturer's own chart, and it's worth a look before you order.

Ride it before you buy it

Our Demo Program runs at two levels that suit this range. The Sports Program covers beginner-to-intermediate boards at $100 for 5 days. The Performance Program covers top-tier boards at $150 for 5 days. Buy within 4 weeks of demoing and we refund up to four hire fees off the price (same product type). Call 07 3379 6933 to check what's in the demo fleet.

FAQ

What is the best womens wakeboard for a beginner?

The Connelly Lotus, KD Grace, Ronix Krush, Hyperlite Eden and Liquid Force Angel are all built for learning and progressing behind the boat, and all five come as packages with boots. The Angel is pitched from beginner through to advanced, so it lasts the longest as you progress.

Which womens wakeboard should I step up to?

The Liquid Force Remedy ZK, Ronix Rise, Hyperlite Journey, Hyperlite Prizm or Liquid Force Muse. The Remedy ZK is built for landing tricks consistently. The Rise is the lightweight, fast option. The Journey is the forgiving one with a soft landing spine. The Muse is aimed at riders landing inverts and spins consistently.

Do womens wakeboard packages come with womens boots?

Most do. The Optima, Charm, Jinx, Viva and Plush boots in these packages are women's models. The Rise comes with Ronix's women's Rise boot, and the Remedy ZK comes with the closed-toe Tao boot.

What size womens wakeboard do I need?

Size by weight, then check your height, using the wakeboard size finder. Between sizes, go longer. Then check the manufacturer's chart on the product page.

When should I take the centre fin out?

As soon as you're comfortable edging the board. The centre fin makes learning easier because it keeps the board tracking straight, but once you can hold your edges it's time to take it out.

Can I try a womens wakeboard before buying?

Yes. Our Demo Program hires beginner-to-intermediate boards for $100 and top-tier boards for $150, both for 5 days, and refunds up to four hire fees if you buy within 4 weeks.
